DIRECTV Adds Locals in Palm Springs

DIRECTV announced yesterday the start of local channel broadcasting in Palm Springs, California.  Viewers in Palm Springs can now see local news, sports, weather and prime time network broadcasts.   Subscibers must have qualifying equipment and programming packages for local channel access.

The local channels available in the Palm Springs, CA market area include:

-KUNA/TMO

-KDFX/FOX

-KPSP/CBS

-KMIR/NBC

-KESQ/ABC

-PBS

DIRECTV is working with the local MNT affiliate and hopes to add the station in the near future.

DIRECTV now offers standard definition (SD) local channel programming in 146 markets.

I just signed up to directv and they never said anything about this! I’m not happy with directv because they switch and bate! They tricked me into a 2 year contract!
