The History Channel en Espanol launched on Dish Network channel 850 on January 30th. The channel is available to subscibers of any level of DishLatino programming. According to Dish Network, DishLatino claims more Hispanic customers than any other satellite television or cable tv system in America. The base DishLatino package now includes 37 channels of spanish language programming.
To promote the launch of the History Channel en Espanol on Dish Network, special programming wil be presented in the month of February. This will include a week of Mexican themed programming starting the week of February 18th. Special programming will be as follows:
* Feb. 18 at 6-7 p.m. EST – Mexico: God, Gold & Glory
* Feb. 19 at 6-7 p.m. EST – Mexico: From Independence to the Alamo
* Feb. 20 at 6-7 p.m. EST – Mexico: Battle for North America
* Feb. 21 at 6-7 p.m. EST – Mexico: Revolution & Rebirth
* Feb. 22 at 6-7 p.m. EST Special Presentation: Cinco de Mayo
* Feb. 22 at 8-10 p.m. Special Presentation: Behind the Shadows
* Feb. 23 at 8-10 p.m. Mexican Migration to the U.S.
The week will culminate with the 2-hour premier of “The Mexican Revolution” on Sunday February 24th at 8 p.m. EST.
