DIRECTV Adds HD Locals in Omaha

DIRECTV announced yesterday the start of local HD broadcasting in the Omaha market.  DIRECTV customers in this area can now see local news, as well as prime time programming in HD.  Subscibers are required to have qualifying equipment and programming packages for local HD access.

The local HD channels available in the Omaha, NE area include:

-KETV/ABC

-KMTV/CBS

-KPTM/FOX

-WOWT/NBC

-KXVO/CW

This deployment brings the total number of local HD cities to 77, representing 76 percent of US households.
