DISH Network continues to light up local HD markets, rolling out 8 new locations today. After last weeks addition of Green Bay, Baltimore, and Columbia, here are the 8 new locations where DISH has fired up local HD service:
- Jackson, MS
- Knoxville, TN
- Mobile – Pensacola (Ft. Walton Beach), AL
- Providence – New Bedford, RI
- Burlington – Plattsburgh, VT
- Greensboro – High Point – Winston Salem, NC
- Greenville – Spartanburg – Asheville – Anderson, SC
- Huntsville – Decatur, AL
With these additions, DISH Network crossed the 50 local market threshold, now reaching 54 local HD markets. Overall, DISH Network now reaches 64% of US households with local HD signal. DIRECTV reaches 77 local HD markets representing 76% of US households.
DISH Network recently announced a broad expansion of local HD, with the goal in mind of reaching 100 local markets by year-end.
