I'm moving to a bigger 3 story townhouse in a few weeks,i have Directv now ( love it ) and where i'm moving to we can have directv but can't put it on the roof or the building. Where i'm moving to, i think, we can get directv put in the front of the building by our front door ( that's the only place where a southern view can be for the dish ) but a big tree is there, so i'm not to sure we can get it, so i order Att u-verse as my 2nd choice to be there the next day if i can't get directv put in..What i read, some people like ATT and some don't most of these comments are couple years old and i hope if i do have to get Att u -verse the bugs are fix ..i'll see in 2 weeks

I wish they all would leave the pricing along you sign an agreement for 2 years and after the 1 years pricing starts to go up. If all of them DTV, Dish and U-verse would like to keep us as customers they should just leave the price set. This would at least stop us from jumping as soon we get and offer to save.

I have had Direct TV, Dish and now U verse and my U verse service didn't last much more than about 4 days before I called it quits with them.... First off I was lied to by them. I told them I needed 6 receivers because I have 6 rooms with TV's, They said NO PROBLEM!!!! but what they lied about was the fact that i couldn't use more than 4 receivers at ONE time. I specifically asked about being able to watch all 6 units at the same time and they said i could do it. WELL, YOU CANT!! needless to say i went back to direct TV which at least has more options i like, as far as reception and the picture goes, I will settle for the occasional storm black out here and there with direct TV, at least they are honest about what your getting up front. Maybe I am being One sided about this but when you out right lie to get my money for your service there isn't you can do to get my favor back with you..... sorry U WORST but you play the hand your dealt don't ya!

I've had AT&T U Verse for just about a year now since it is the only service provider available in my apartment complex. I have to say i am not very satisfied. All the local games are blacked out and service has been spotty at times. Looking forward to my new spot with a Southern-facing balcony.

Good bye Direct TV. I've been patient with this recent problem and now you lost my personal check for my monthly payment? Oh, I tried your online payment and you botched that so I went to paying by personal check and now you say you never received it? I think you got mad because I sent a personal letter to your CEO and you "accidentally" lost my check. That plus this month-long problem with SLOW response time from when I press the remote button until the time something ACTUALLY HAPPENS on the TV screen. No, the problem is not with my DVR, not with my remote, not with the remote batteries but with YOU. It's called SOFTWARE BUGS. Fix it.

Most freezing picture problems with U-verse well as some picture quality issues are the result of coax cable being used for the install versus cat 5e or cat 6 cable install from the NID to the 2 wire modem, and to all U-verse receivers and computers in the home. Cat 5e or cat 6 will always be better however AT&T installers don't do cat 5e or 6 installers without charging extra for the cabling work unless your luck to have a really nice installer. I found that running your own cat 5e or 6 to replace coax in the home and having at&t installers terminate the cable is the best way to get the best U-verse can deliver.

The prices for at&t u-verse listed above are promotional prices. My U300 $105 bill will go up to $170 next month, very deceptive business practices.

While I like u-verse, I recommend you go with a provider that is honest.

Replying to the comments asking about the VOD feature, ATT has an extremely impressive Voice On Demand feature. It is free and extremely realiable. I am extremely biased to U-verse because I work for ATT yet I have DirecTV at my house because U-verse in not available at my house.
