Dish Network is droping Fox Soccer and Fox soccr Soccer coverage was the only reason I chose Direct tv. I now the read the competition has caught up with them in the channels they offer buy I am locked into Driect for two years. I am extremly dissatisfied and feel ripped off.

After 8 long years of Comcast I finally dumped them. As Silvia I left my Internet with them, even bumped up to a faster $39 plan. So I now have faster Internet, more channels, better DVR with bigger drive and ability to add a drive and I will pay less EVEN AFTER all the DISH promos are done, a year from now. During the year of promos I’ll be saving over 30 a month. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Well i used comcast for 8 years now. switched to dish cable and dish net. THE FASTEST NET THEY HAVE IS SOOOO SLOW. so now i will switch back my net to comcast and leave dish as just cable. I personaly like comcast way better . specialy the on demand. since that was the only thing i used. but their prices got way way too high.

I have had comcast for 15 years. My bill has gone up to 180.00/mo. w/phone and internet.
I just got dish. same channels plus I think maybe more. dvr all that. Pretty much the same as comcast.
Dish is 49.00/mo. with “I think” better customer service. I got an extra phone on my at&t plan for 10.00/month.
Internet through verizon. CHEAP also.

It cut my bill inhalf. I love the dish.

Well after CES we see another realm in which DISH is superior over Comcast…streaming live TV. With Comcast you have to be using a tablet like an ipad, and it has to be within your own personal Wi-Fi network…meaning, basically, you have to be at home. I guess as a DISH customer/employee I’m just used to using their TV Everywhere app on my iphone and watching live TV…everywhere. Not just at home, where my TV is.

The customer rep named “Jonathan” wasn’t even try to answer some general questions & also the sales ad that I received in the mail today 2/8/10 wasn’t valid for $19.99 & he said that the penny for 12 months for 5 premium movie channels was expired. Why would this company still send thses ads out? All he wanted was my social security # & credit card #. And when I didn’t give it to him he became so rude that he didn’t want to speak anymore. I then asked to speak to the supervisorwhich took me 20 minutes to get. He acted the same way too. Is this the type of customer service that I will receive if I sign up with Dish Network? I called 1-800-900-7006 that had a different name to it when you call & the website is “GoDISH.com”. I did record the conversation, and if you want to hear it email me.

I can’t figure out how to get the Big Ten Network in southern Colorado (South Fork) on my DISH satellite (basic package). Reference is made to Comcast out of Denver. The Big Ten Network also says it uses channel 439 on DISH, but that number doesn’t even come up for me.

Enjoyed the article. Was hoping to get get some information regarding the number of TV’s dish network will serve as opposed to comcast. We recently purchased a new home and have five locations where HD TV’s will be placed. Does anyone know if dish network will support this or will I require two dishes?

Last month I called comcast to see what kind of deal they could give me as a long time customer. I have had Comcast basic cable, then comcast digital, and finally comcast premium service. Overall, I’ve been with comcast for more than five years. Can you guess what they offered me?

A big fat nothing. Thats right, no deal, no discount.

Needless to say, I made a call to Dish Network and quickly got a premium package for about $30 less per month. Not good business Comcast
