With Bresnan, you cant get the NFL Sunday Ticket, that is the number one thing I am interested in, so all the rest doesn’t even matter. That is how Direct TV gets so many customers, even those who really dont really want to use satellite TV.

I though Bresnan would be a better cable company than the ones I have dealt with in the past because they are a smaller company. LOL.. Not at all. Same high rates, same poor service as Time Warner and Comcast. Fortunately, I just moved into my own home so I signed up with Dish Network HD. Was going to go with Turbo HD but decided on the DishDVR Advantage package, I love it. So much HD compared to Bresnan.

This basically makes it a win-win for the customer and DIRECTV, in that they can recoup the costs involved in getting a new subscriber on board.” I don’t see how this is a win win since Bresnan has no contracts. The customer is free to leave Bresnan any time while DirecTV forces dissatisfied customers to pay over $200 to cancel there service

I like dish better than directv but dish has sirius radio and directv has xm radio and i like xm better.

I enjoyed the article. I wanted to advise that DIRECTV does in fact have on demand service on their HDDVR receivers. When connected to the internet, DIRECTV on demand has a home page for some channels where you can watch any of the shows related to that channel as long as you subscribe to that station. Also, Bresnen customers can bundle DIRECTV with Qwest high speed internet, home phone and unlimited Long distance. Qwest can also bundle their Verizon wireless service for an additional discount. These factors make DIRECTV more appealing.
