If You are reading this to figure out whether or not to get ATT TV, DON'T DO IT!!! Here is why:
1) Signed up for HBO and CIN, and it didn't show up. Had to call and spend a good hour on the phone while they re-rout my call to the 'correct department'.

2) The wireless TV box shuts off at least once every half hour, which requires you to reboot it and wait for it to load up again.

3)The wireless TV box disconnects from the wireless gateway frequently. You have to go and push a button on the gateway, then comeback and push a button on your wireless.

4)Some shows stutter in live TV, skipping a few seconds of signal.

5) It will take at least 10 days before they can come out and try to resolve my problems.

6) For all you resolution freaks: It's 1080i, A noticeable downgrade from my previous provider, DISHTV. The picture isn't bad, but its not eye popping!

I just saved you the headache I have had to suffer. And I'm not a TVholic. I just like to watch about 30mins a day, buts it not even worth it. Thanks AT&T.

Had uverse phone and internet installed 2 weeks ago and so far so good. Having uverse tv installed today. Have had Direc TV for years and have loved it, but we are going with the bundled service to save some $$$. Hopefully the TV service will be as good as Direc TV!

We just had u-verse installed the other day and just love it. Our Internet speed is 12-18 mbs and it's fast and dendable. We have 3 TVs and two are now wireless. All can record whatever they like and all can watch whatever is recorded. We have a ton of channels and it's great. We got a good deal too - cheaper than Comcast. We had Comcast and added the DVR which we could only program 2 programs at once. We can now record 4. My son loves it because now he can program from his own room and doen't have to go into the living to watch what has been programmed. The two wireless TVs can go anywhere. All in all, very pleased. Oh by the way, the technician was superb and it didn't take more than 2 hours to install.

Att Internet advertising 3mb download. but upload is nearly 200kb. Bandwidth and Quality of Service (QS) for the net connection is very low. Customer service is very bad. I am calling every month to correct billing mistake and they are repeating same mistake next month. If I get Florida Lotto, I will use that money to hire Attorney for Suing ATT for my time, stupid service and bad experience.

There is a lot to consider when choosing a provider for your television; prices, programming, customer service reputation, quality of equipment and others. Being a customer and employee of DISH Network, I can say that from a consumer stand point that DISH was the way to go for me even before working here. The third HD receiver was free, DISH's DVR have the largest hard drive in the industry, so more recording time, 100% digital programming, the most HD channels in the industry, HD free for life, and Video on Demand in 1080p. The decision for me was easy

I absolutely HATE my U-verse. My TV is constantly locked up, first they blamed it on the HDMI cables so they came out and switched to "HD Component Cables" but still doesnt' work right. I haven't been able to watch TV in my family room for 2 days now nor have we been able to watch TV. Checking into Comcast....

I have been a DirecTv customer since 1997 (one of the first) and a Bellsouth customer first in Raleigh and now in Orlando for about the same period of time. I have no complaints about either. I wanted UVerse because I needed faster internet download speeds. Because we also have a Sat receiver in our RV we decided to stick with DirecTv and just get the voice and internet package from UVerse.

First the install - contrary to many of the posts here, I had almost no issues and only a few surprises. The first guy did the outside work at the switch and then at the house - absolutely no problem. The second guy did the inside work. He hung a distribution box outside the house, drilled a hole through the wall into the inside of the house to run the power cord for the outside box (first surprise - amazing AT&T can't make a waterproof box so all of the wiring could stay outside.) After he did the work outside, he brought the network node and router inside the house.

I am a network engineer by trade so I hooked the router to my network after he hooked it to the telephone line. Only trouble we had was I asked for a static IP address and the installer had never done one before. Turns out from his perspective, its no different. The IP address - static or DHCP is provisioned at the office and no configuration is required at the router. After some manipulation of the router config and some minor network reconfiguration, internet was up and running at rated speed, both up and down. I was surprised to find out that AT&T is still using G band technology for their wireless (surprise number 2.)

N band wireless routers have been available for almost 3 years so AT&T really needs to upgrade this. Not so much of an issue for me since I already have 2 dual band N routers on my network. We had one small problem with the voice lines. I have two. After the install was completed and the installer left, he discovered he forgot to run a final verification test on the lines. When he did the test, it disconnected one of the voice lines. He immediately recognized his error and called me on my cell to check if I had a problem. Short answer is he came back immediately and reset the line at the house.

All in all - excellent service from AT&T and very good technicians. Install was complete in less than three hours. Bottom line - as with any complex technology there are bound to be gremlins. My advice is try UVerse. For my 2 voice lines and Max internet service, I am paying about half of what I was paying before for DSL that was less than half of what I am getting now.

I worked in AT&T Uverse. Personally, I think it sucks. It doesn't work. End of discussion.
