I have had the worst experience with Comcast cable. The plumbers cut the service to the house and scheduled a repair. I got an automated message saying to call Comcast if 1. If I wanted to cancel or reschedule. I didn't want to do either. Do to me not answering the phone call from their auto system 3 times they cancelled my service call. I followed the whether or not you can be there for the service call, if you don't answer auto call confermation you get cancelled. You can't even call in and confirm the appointment because the have no alternative to the auto call confermation.

If you have another choice in your area don't choose Comcast.

I agree with Michael. I have been a Comcast customer for years, and like their products and services. As Michael says, when the promotional period is up, just call and talk to their customer service people. I am now in the 4th year of their "triple play" and every year when I call they put me in a new promotional plan with discounts to keep my price down.

I am also a Comcast customer and I really love the services I get (TriplePlay) The bandwidth on the 'net is fantastic, faster than T1 all the time, no "long distance" charges on the phone and all the TV I can watch. My only gripe is the price ($149.73 last month) and creeping up again... The last time the price went up I got ahold of a very nice customer service lady and I explained that I loved the service, but because of my fixed income (Social Security) I couldn't afford to keep all my services anymore, so what could I drop and how much would I save? Somehow, she was able to set me up with a deal that didn't cost me any one of my services, didn't defer the costs to any other source, and reduced MY costs by $40.00 / mo.! I think she somehow set me up as a new customer on my TV service which caused the price reduction, but I don't know how. But the monthly bill has been creeping up again and that is why I am here, checking out the satellite services prior to calling customer service again. With the pricing information I have gained here, I will be calling customer service again to see if I can negotiate a price reduction again. My advice would be, if you love Comcast and don't really want to give it up, try calling (with satellite info in hand)... be nice... and ask the customer service person if they can find a way to reduce your costs. I sure won't cost you anything to ask! I have bookmarked this page and I will return with an update if things go well!

I also have a love hate relationship with Comcast. However, their product is much better than the rest. The one thing that keeps me with Comcast is that they spend a lot of time giving back to the community. They even have a day where the employees work in low income areas. I think that is wonderful and we need more companies like that.

I have a love/hate relationship with Comcast. My promo is over, and they are hitting me up for an additional $50 a month versus what I used to pay. But I cant seem to find the will to switch away. I dont really feel like messing with a Dish on my roof. And God forbid I have to deal with Qwest again for my high speed internet and home phone.

I guess Comcast can rely on lazy people like me and continue to take big money to the bank.

Most will be just fine using something like the Performance internet service. Unless your needs are much less, or much more should you check out the other Comcast internet package offers.

While I do hate having to pay for television service (when I was growing up all you needed was a television and an antenna) I do like that satellite service is another option for those who don't really like the cable company. Thanks for the information about Comcast, I haven't heard too much about this company until you shed some light on it for me.
