Summer brings even more savings to those interested in the Sunday Ticket package, as they can get free programming for several months. But what about deals for existing DIRECTV customers?
Usually you will only be offered discounts if you call DIRECTV and ask for them, and even then its not guaranteed. But with the DIRECTV referral program, you can get $100 in savings if you send a new customer on over to the satellite TV company. They will also get $100 in savings above and beyond the regular specials being offered. Here is how it works.
Simply give your DIRECTV account number to the person you are referring, then have them call the referral line. The number on DIRECTV’s website is 1-800-507-4045. Make sure this number is used and not the regular DIRECTV customer service number. Many have reported that they did not receive the incentive because they called the wrong DIRECTV phone number. For those calling, be sure to give the representative your friend’s or family member’s account number to the representative so that you will get the $100 savings, and they will too.
Now some have confused this program with the $100 Visa card promotion that DIRECTV was running late in 2009, but this offer is totally different. With this deal, you receive the $100 in the form of ten monthly bill credits of $10 each. The person you referred will get the same thing, ten credits of $10 a month. Nothing else needs to be done as far as filling out paperwork or submitting online information to get your $100 referral credit.
The only limitation on the program currently is that you can only refer 10 customers in a 12 month period, so that limits you to $1,000 a year in bill credits.
